The northern lights are best shared. Watch the sky dance and take the photos home with you. We’ll help you book a northern lights tour in Tromsø.

Tromsø is one of the best places in the world to see the northern lights. From September to early April, the nights are long and dark enough for the aurora to appear. But city lights and changing weather often mean you need to head out of town for the best experience.

Northern lights tours with local experts

We work with local operators in Tromsø who run northern lights tours. Their guides know the area, keep an eye on the weather and aurora forecasts, and take you where your chances are best. Many tours also include a photographer, a campfire and hot drinks, so you can enjoy the night and bring home photos of yourselves under the northern lights.

No need to worry about driving, icy winter roads or where to park in the middle of the night. Chat and stay warm on the bus, and step outside when the sky clears.
